Master en Théorie du droit AMELIE

AMELIE is a European Union funded project seeking to establish a new European Joint Master Course in Legal Theory under the roof of European Academy of Legal Theory.

In 2010/11 AEETD and its AMELIE project partner institutions listed below have prepared and submitted a project application for the EU’s Lifelong Learning Programme (Erasmus Multilateral Projects - Curriculum Development), meant to facilitate the development and implementation of an EALT Legal Theory master programme. The application has been successful and selected for EU funding in summer 2011. The 2-years AMELIE project has been presented to a wider academic public during the IVR World Congress at the University of Frankfurt/Main in August 2011 and is operating since October 1st, 2011.
The project included two years of preparing the structure, content, and legal framework of the new curriculum (the AMELIE project funding cycle running from Oct. 2011 to Dec. 2013). It is complemented by a pilot year of the first EALT master program prototype in 2012/13 (at the University of Vienna) and by a pilot year of offering some of the evaluated and revised individual study modules as Academy Short Courses in 2013/14 (in cooperation with the Master 2 Recherche "Droit Public Comparé Européen" at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne in French language). These development and testing phases within and beyond the AMELIE Erasmus MP will be followed by the implementation of the final curriculum at the Goethe-University Frankfurt/Main from the academic year 2014/15 onwards. The final version of the new EALT Master’s Course in Legal Theory will also offer short-term mobility phases and dual degree study tracks at other EALT partner universities across Europe and beyond.
