Ludovic Hennebel is Research Professor at the Fund for Scientific Research (F.N.R.S., Belgium) and member of the Perelman Centre of the Law School of the Université Libre de Bruxelles (www.philodroit.be). Former Global Fellow at the Law School of NYU and Visiting Scholar at the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (San José, Costa Rica), Dr. Hennebel is Visiting Professor at the Law School of Sciences-Po in Paris (http://master.sciences-po.fr/droit/en/content/ludovic-hennebel), at the International Institute of Human Rights René Cassin in Strasbourg, and Visiting Fellow at Harvard Law School (2012-2013 - http://www.law.harvard.edu/programs/hrp). He holds a PhD in Law, an LL.M in international human rights law, and the René Cassin Diploma on international human rights law. He is a member of the Alumni College of the Royal Belgian Academy. His research focuses on international human rights law (especially regional and universal systems of protection) and on transnational and global law. Dr. Hennebel is the author and editor of several books, articles and essays on international human rights law, global justice, transnational and global law. Among his most recent work, he is the co-editor of Genocide Denials and the Law published by Oxford University Press in 2011, and is the co-author of The American Convention of Human Rights: A Critical Commentary to be published by Oxford University Press in 2013.

Besides, he has published extensively on international human rights law (including two monographs in 2007 regarding the American Convention on Human Rights and on the UN Human Rights Committee, both in French). He is the co-editor of several collections of essays on Judging terrorism and the rule of law (2009, Bruylant), on the American Convention on Human Rights (2009, Pedone), on American Exceptionnalism and Human Rights (2009, Dalloz), on Corporate Social Responsibility (2007, Bruylant), and on Classifying Human Rights (2004, Bruylant).
